18th Century Spectacles With Readers
Most reenactors replace the lenses with their prescription lenses. There are opticians who are able to do this such as Gordon Optical in Lexington, Ma.
If used as readers, they are available in:
+1.50
+2.00
PLEASE NOTE:
There are three things that make them fall short from being perfect.
1. The eye drop on the end did not come out until late 18th century and should be a circle for mid 18th century.
2. The hinges are in a different location than original mid 18th century. Also, the screws on the hinges should have one side going up, and the other side going down.
3. Lastly, the bridge should have a higher curve.
Other than that, these are the most accurate mid 18th Century reproduction spectacles that are available.
